Anniversary Promise

Today your hearts are overflowing
Gazing back upon the precious years,
As you embrace the memories of love
Your eyes fill up with tears.

Oh, the wonder of the days of courtship
The delight when you first met,
Your hearts exploded with the joy
Of fragrance you just can't forget.


To frolic with secure abandonment
And laugh as one to be,
Hearing music as you kiss once more
Held in love all time to see.

With devotion for the vows
Of promise deep within your hearts,
Together, in the love you chose
To walk your daily path.


When you look upon each other's face
You read such tenderness,
Beneath shy lashes, gentle eyes
How could you love the less.

How hard you work providing
To give your Princess all your best,
As she gives all her life
To be mother and devoted wife


Your gift is thus complete
Committed to the other one alone
The love you share together
Is where you'll always be at home.
