Our family's quite quaint
With our own special traits
But, old fashioned are we
And live spendidly
Our home might seem simple,
Plain fare's what we have
Yet, that's how we like it,
To make our heart's glad
There's only one car
It's all ours of course
The house steps are worn
But we love our old porch
We delight in our kin
And like how this works
There's comfort inside
For when we get hurt
Our mother is kind,
So gentle and good
Her baking's the best
(If we bring in the wood)
We all wind up laughing
Though mind, at not much
Just 'cause we're together
Being helpful and such
Our Momma, just grins
From her chair where she mends
You see, we're secure
For on God we depend
We live life content
With Pop in his chair
He leads all the prayin'
To our Father that cares
Yes, our ways are still simple
Sweet care is the best
Lovin' God and our neighbour
Our family's so blessed
