~ Autumnal Welcome ~
The golden days are drawing near,
A faint chill is in the morning air,
It's time to listen for the honking geese,
Winter's passage to declare.

Shake off the driest parch of summer,
It's ways are all complete,
I must now display my welcome wreathe,
To prepare the earth for sleep.

Farewell, your summer friend of yesterday,
Mourn as he softly drifts from view,
It is time to embrace my vibrant color,
And our relationship re-new.

You will recall me when you draw aside-
As your theatrical friend,
A paradox of swirling wind and balmy nights
And beauty deep within.

I shall glow with wonder here before you,
And explode with rich delights,
The vibrancy of my Creator will unfold His joy
A feast before your very eyes.

Poetry From The Heart
At some point in life
God's beauty becomes enough.
You don't need to photograph,
paint or even remember it.
It is enough.
