Oh yes, we truly know
Deep in our hearts, we know
that tomorrow will come true,
While today there may be pain,
Today's autumn reiterates again and again
that all pain and sorrow will give birth
to something beautiful and new
We have seen the winter chill
usher in the warmth of spring
And gloried in a rainbow
after showers of falling rain
So know that any sorrow,
is always for a greater gain
We've struggled in the birthing
of a tender baby child
And also felt the joy, in just a little while
Just as we've watched a mare
slowly lose her bloom
And then been very touched
by the beauty from her womb
In the morning we've rejoiced,
as darkness turned to light
Watching heavy mist,
all disappear from sight
And learnt to smile once more
after passing darkened doors
But, most of all we know,
that earth will soon give way
To the perfection that we crave
of everlasting day
As the fall that dragged us down
to need to be His own
will be the very catalyst of love
that carries us all home

The saddest agony of the cross became
the very place where God called forth
His greatest love, as He lifted us
with His own blood and said,
"You are now my beloved daughter
and my beloved son."
