His message is simple, his message is true,
He offers a lifeline to me and to you.
His kind disposition his total concern,
Captures each lesson God wants us to learn.
He teaches in a gentle, mild-mannered way,
Yet not compromising what God has to say.
The Scriptures are Holy, he says time and again,
They point us to Jesus-- the Savior of men.
He speaks of the penalty-- the price Jesus paid,
How on our behalf on The Cross He was laid.
Where He suffered and bled for every man's sin,
And he asks every person to let Jesus in.
Let Him into your hearts and into your minds,
The Lord's coming soon, I can see all the signs.
He pleads and he prays as he speaks of God's Grace,
One can almost see Jesus on his faithful face.
He lives what he preaches in quiet dignity,
Not the slightest suggestion of hypocrisy.
His dear Ruth has gone and is earthly expired,
But his work's not completed though he's semi-retired.
Who could forget him or the promise he preached,
Proclaiming to presidents that God could be reached.
Reaching out to the world in peace and in love,
A man filled with The Spirit, a man led from above.
I can only imagine his heavenly pace,
When he claims the prize; when he's finished the race.
He'll be jogging with Jesus, with the Great I Am!
Yes, Heaven was made for men like Billy Graham.
