If you were my best friend
For that's what you are
Then my apron I'd fill
With love from my heart

I'd bake gingerbread men
Beary crunchy and sweet
With currants for eyes
And cherries for lips

Then with a little kiss
Each pocket I'd fill
To scamper next door
With joy and goodwill

As over your doorstep
I'd lovingly go
To share Christmas tea
With the best friend I know

Soft Christmas Whispers from

Poetry from the Heart

Come on ring those bells
Light the Christmas tree
Jesus is the King
Born for you and me
Come on ring those bells
Everybody say
Jesus we remember it's Your birthday

Merry CHRISTmas
