One night I wished on a star so bright
For an angel to send me some Christmas love
It had been many years
since I had a gift under my tree
So I closed my eyes
and wished real hard
For an angel to give me one sweet gift
one very sweet surprise



I looked at the stars as The Wise men did
And I could feel the Lord Jesus,
in my heart, so deep within
and as I gazed, an angel suddenly sent me
heaven's Christmas love
As the moon twinkled up above
Now, I can be glad once again
glad and carefree, for love now I see
