At Christmas, it is so enticing
To muse upon the past
And that is nice, for 'tis desire
For goodness that will last
And in that looking back
The choicest there we gather
Best baking ingredients
To mix into the batter
Kisses of delight, sweet drops
Of flavor very sweet
A pinch or two of laughter
To make a Christmas treat
We'll collect up all those memories
And stir them in to stay
To make this Christmas very special
For every child today
As we imagine all most lovely
With all the tender hugs
Yes, that is what we'll add to make
A Christmas of pure love
