I do not need to ponder now
What Christmas gift I'd like
For God's already blessed me
With all He knew was right

And so at Christmas I enjoy
This gift from Him the more
Because He chose it just for me
As the very best of all

Some gifts have use by dates
And others store away
Some consumed each day, til gone
But mine's to keep always

There was no need to plead
For He knew my heart-felt need
And gifted me so 'specially
Today, eternally

Now, if you haven't guessed
I shall gladly tell you then
God gave to me His very life
Then blessed me with a friend

May the gladness of Christmas
give you hope;
May the wonder of Christmas
bring you peace;
May the heart of Christmas
show you love.
May the life of Christmas
