You are my memories of Christmas
From all you give away,
You are the fragrances I breathe
While musing here today.

You are the mugs of chocolate by the fire-
Crackling in the hearth,
You are the decorations sparkling
With wonder in my heart.



You are the snowflakes drifting, swirling
Softly in the wind,
The delighted cries of children
The carols that we sing.

You are the giggles and anticipation
The thrill that Christmas is,
You are the wrapping of the presents-
Can't wait til' you see this.



You are the joy that Jesus brings
When He came to give us love,
The smiles, the hope of heaven
And everlasting fun.

You are the whispers and the secrets
The hugs, you have them all,
The choosing of the special tree
The holly in the hall.



You are the sentiment of Christmas
I wish that you were here,
You are the love I carry in my heart
Each day, all through the year.

The greatest gift we will ever receive
is far too valuable to be stored in any other place
but in the depths of our heart,
wrapping us warm like a shawl,
filling us with everlasting melodies of joy.
