I am watching, ever waiting
For you, my dearest friend,
And if I stand here patiently
You'll surely come around the bend.

'Coz Christmas time is ready
I've hung the bow and wreath,
The lamplight here will guide you
To where we soon will meet.



The fire is crackling in the grate
And the table is all set,
Dinner's baking in the oven
Oh, are you coming yet?

The gifts are piled beneath the tree
And the bonbons out to pull,
Sweet eggnog, nuts and taffy
And hot chocolate's plentiful.



I have a chair so comfortable
Right near the cozy hearth,
You can lay back and relax
And be warm to the heart.

Yes, all will be so wonderful
Together, sharing Jesus' love,
Our Christmas is so special
Because of all He's done.



So, come along my treasure
Come in and celebrate,
I'm ready for our Christmas day
And I can hardly wait!
