Still is this morning,
The skies are gray,
I come before You now, Lord,
To plead, to pray.
Just as the clouds
Cover the sun,
So too trials try to veil
You, Almighty One.
Yet I know You are here,
I know You do reign,
I know You still shine
In the midst of pain.
So in weaknesses,
Insults and persecutions too,
In hardships and difficulties,
I surely see You.
Do not take away
The trials that I know
If through them, my Lord,
More like You I grow.
All I desire,
All I ever long to be,
Is for others to see You
When they see me.
The clouds may indeed
Cover the sun,
But nothing can conquer
You, Almighty One.
So I rejoice in sunshine,
I delight in skies of gray;
I embrace Your will for me,
Yes, come what may.

2 Corinthians 12:10
That is why, for Christ's sake,
I delight in weaknesses, in insults,
in hardships, in persecutions,
in difficulties. For when I am weak,
then I am strong.
