My father held me in his arms
The day when I was born
He cared for me
So I would see no harm
The first time he looked at me
He loved with unconditional love
Though I was not his very own
He brought me to his home
He kissed my head
He was so kind
He prayed in thanks
God made him mine
I was special, sent from The Lord
I was a gift forevermore
A baby girl, no mistake was given
God does not make mistakes
Only miracles when
I was to my father an angel
Sent from heaven
