I reached deep into my heart
Looking for the words to say,
I searched the recesses of my mind
For all I could convey.

I pondered long on all you've done
How I grew within your heart,
As you gave up your life to give
All you could e'er impart.
I tried to compose something
That you and I alone could know,
As I felt a deep emotion
About how I am your own.

Then I wondered if I could ever
Find the eloquence divine,
But cannot find sweeter words
Than, thankyou Dad, I love you
Forever more you're mine.
