~A Cross In God's Heart~

In the garden of Eden where man disobeyed,
the sin in this world got it's start.
An animal was slain so man could be covered
because God had a cross in His heart.



God sent a flood to cover the earth
but eight souls were saved in the ark.
Then He told man to go and replenish
because God had a cross in His heart.



A Man made His way up Calvary's hill
for God longed for His love to impart.
Sweet fellowship with God was restored
because God had a cross in His heart.



One day the shades of earth will be drawn
and the eons of time will start.
Never again will that bond be broken
because God had a cross in His heart.
