~Evening Prayer~
As we pray, Dearest Jesus
We hold out our hand to touch Your cross
We are faithfully Yours, for by Your death
You paid the price at such great cost
In our evening prayer, we watch the stars
Shining down so prettily,
We pray You will forgive our sin
as we hold on to Your cross,
So desperate in our need.
In our evening prayer, we ask with all our soul
Why did You take our place, to death,
We would not want You suffering there,
But now, we are at peace in You
Being in Your heart is complete happiness
Such as we never knew.
As we pray this evening and cling
To Your cross, we are one with You
And want to touch Your dear face.
Why do You love us so...
By Your grace, all over the world
You give us hope and in Your name
from sin, we can be cured.
Evening prayer is important to us
For we can be in Your presence,
We know The Son of Man has blessed us
And feel what Your pain and sorrow meant.
Because of what our sin did to You
Our love we lift up in our hands,
Bless us now Dear Jesus, thank You,
We know You understand.
