A fallen hero among many
Since Washington crossed the Delaware
Many lives have been lost to keep our country free
Freedom is not free yes it does cost lives
And no man who has fallen is less a hero then the others

We praise our men and women who enlist for this job
With knowledge of risking their lives to keep America free
Exceptional work they are doing all over this world
It's not always fighting it might be handing out food or toys
Or a cook who is feeding all of our soldiers to keep them strong

We can pray to Our Lord to help us with our loss
Our fallen hero's are in God's caring hands and suffers no more
They would want us to be happy and go on with life
Our freedom after all is why they were there
Setting an example for all who follow

We continue to pray to Jesus for the loss to all of us
God Bless these men and women who gave the ultimate price
We can show our support in a more open way
By sending letters of encouragement to those who follow them
May their death not be in vain by our remembrance

Poetry by Joyce

No longer will you have the sun for light by day,
Nor for brightness will the moon give you light;
But you will have the LORD for an everlasting light,
And your God for your glory.
Your sun will no longer set,
Nor will your moon wane;
For you will have the LORD
for an everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning will be over.
Isaiah 60:19,20
