A little boy's role model
Is the father that he sees,
Who he will copy, emulate,
And in those ways believe.

Ah, what then, sweet delight
To watch that little heart,
Grow in those manly ways
That a father will impart.

In the strength of muscle, power,
Lithe and quick to dare,
Confront a task with courage,
A mighty problem bear.

To lead and conquer, battle,
Protect, and intercede,
A man's ways are for men
To meet our daily needs.

Thank God for all the fathers
Who watch-care every day,
To over-see his dear ones,
And rise to face each day.

God bless, each special father
Who lives integrity,
To lead his son and family wisely
Unto eternity.

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in Spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then, God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called him ... Dad
