Being A Lone Father
Some Dads have to be so courageous
When life is very tough,
To gather up the strength
For imparting a tender loving touch.
With life not turning out
The way that they had planned,
They will still make the time to care
And try to understand.
For even while hurting deep inside
They determine to be kind,
To put the welfare of their child
Uppermost in their mind.
Every moment relying on the Lord
To know just what to say,
For wisdom, love and strength
To lead along the way.
And with a fortitude as days go by
They keep being a precious Dad,
To be there, as a needed father
They are so very glad.
And no matter where their child may be
Prayer plays the major part,
For a Dad carries his treasured child
Forever in his heart.
