Even though fear is an emotion, we do not have to let it rule our minds.
As Christians, we have the mind of Christ. And since God gives us this as a command...
THIS IS WHAT I WANT YOU TO DO....STOP FEARING....AND DO IT NOW!
This again implies that LIVING IN FEAR IS A CHOICE...
just like living in unbelief and lack of faith is a CHOICE.
("Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved"
is also a divine imperative, a COMMAND.)
And notice also that with each COMMAND to fear not, God gives a little promise ....
of His presence, help, power, provision, direction...something for us to focus on
as we battle with what our eyes tell us to be afraid of, and we choose to listen to GOD instead.
With all this in mind, let's take a look at this list of the occurances of the commandment....
