Come, my child, Come walk close to me The sand is warm, waters flowing so free, I am your strength, your hope and stay Listen my child, I've carried you today. God's voice is always so gentle As He whispers, "Come Unto Me", I will bring you from this trial Child, Will you come and follow me? He whispers softly, come you can walk it I'm in this trial with you my child I understand your steps and tears, I'm here, I will help you through your fears. His footsteps are much bigger than mine He will never let me go astray, If I follow where He leadeth His steps will lead me home someday. I will follow daily in His footprints Walking with Him, I'll stay in His light, He will bring me from my valleys low And teach me how to love and grow.
