On this Veteran's Day
A prayer we must say
As we do every night
While they are in plight
We thank all of our men and women
Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, Fire and Policemen
Who are keeping America free from harm
Keeping chaos from our country while bearing arms
God blessed us with these people who give their time
Ever watchful to find peace and keep us from crime
Even though we are at war keeping faith is our goal
Ever vigilant we all must be and staying in control
Always remembering to ask Our Lord for protection
Guiding us in peace, love, and bring us in good direction
Holding us in His arms and keeping us from strife
Freedom is not free, as many have paid with their life
