Friendship - oh how it brings
such a loving warmth
to each and every day.
The sweetest relationship
God has blessed us with
to assist in all aspects of our walk.



Listening to our daily chat, helping
us open up our hearts,
examining what is true,
in dialogue and questions,
Interested in all that pertains
to the very essence of who we are.



Surrounding us with an acceptance
a ready concern,
so we feel safe to share
all we feel, view, ponder,
are passionate about,
with an ever present daily care.



Content, no matter if we laugh or cry
because of the way of love,
together stepping out the path of life
to share what is on our side
as much as on theirs,
to understand as one.



We don't know why, but there remains
a desire to ever feel
each other's dreams and hurts
to help heal and tend each other's garden
weeding, watering, pruning
in the Son, where love is real.



And never doth a day or space separate,
for at any moment we are
secure, the oneness does not dissipate
but stays the same, no time, nor distance
can tear apart, friends who
are forever joined in heart.
