It doesn't matter what the sky may be
If my heart is warm inside,
It doesn't matter all the hovering cloud
When a friend is close beside.

It doesn't matter threatening rain
If you are near to care,
My heart will still hold content
When my friend's close by to share.

For my friend you bring God's sunshine
Arriving with it packed,
Unfurling gifts divine
You somehow have the knack.

So when skies seem dark and gloomy
I won't be sad at all,
But call my friend and have a chat
And 'twont feel so bad at all.

Poetry From The Heart

"Today is our new day.
We can begin it well
and serenely and with too
high a spirit to be encumbered
with old nonsense."
~Ralph Waldo Emerson~
