Today, I wanted to send
Something warming for your heart,
That would be comforting and soothing
A blessing to impart....



So, I pondered for a while
As I thought and prayed for you,
And realized, most nourishing would be
The gift of homemade soup.



So, there is a way to send my love,
In virtual reality,
Just for your imagination
And to see with clarity...



That if I lived quite near your door
Then this is what I'd do,
I'd pop in for a visit now
With some nice hot soup for you.
