Today was really very special
In all I had to do
But all along 'twas something else
More than I ever knew
I gathered up all that I needed
To make a day go right
Beginning it with prayer
When it was just first light
I filled my heart with soft delights
Enjoying smallest things
The sunshine and the birds on high
That God tells how to sing
I sought my soul be free
Of all that hinders peace
Seeking a contentment
So each moment would be sweet
But, the very best of all
O'erflowed my gratitude
When the finishing touches came
From the heart of God, through you
