A marvel to know,
How can it be..
That God Himself
Is for me?
No mountain before me
Can stretch too high,
No cloud too dark
Can loom in my sky,
No rainstorm
Can rage too strong,
No deep night
Can last too long...
Yes, God is for me,
This I know,
His love on the Cross
Does radiantly show,
His grace to me
Continually pours,
His mercy toward me
Forever endures.
So how can I cower?
How can I fear
When God Himself
Is to me near?
He keeps me
In His arms so strong,
He reminds me with Him
I belong,
He wipes every tear
From my eye,
He melts every cloud
In my sky.
Yes, it’s true
Now and for eternity:
The Lord God Himself
Is for me!
