I won't look back, Oh no
That's not where I would choose to go,
Even though, there may be special memories
That I'm so glad to know,
I can leave the past behind
With One who forgives and forgets
For I am halfway home
Shall I look forward then
Into a future that I cannot see
Yes, I believe it is the way more sure
If I trust Him for all to come
Of paths not yet explored
For, He knows all that is right for me.
What if I look around to take in
All that flutters by,
Whatever attracts my eye
Or draws me to satisfy
Will such fill me with my heart's desire
Or maybe leave me empty and alone
With nothing more to try.
Should I attemp to look down inside myself
To search for greater depths...
Oh, but the years have shown me
That there are too many mysteries
How can I know the wisdom needed
Only from the tears I've wept.
Ah then... if I look up and find my Jesus face
And ask for His comfort in my way,
Wouldn't there, my heart be stilled with calming rest
Such loving joy to ever stay
As He whispers His sweet tenderness
Gently lifting me upon the steps
Softly calling
You are halfway home
I will always love you, my Princess.

You are my hiding place
You are my hiding place,
You always fill my heart
With songs of deliverance.
Whenever I am afraid
I will trust in you.
I will trust in you;
Let the weak say,
'I am strong in the
Strength of my Lord.'
