Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God,
the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth,
fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run,
and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint
Isaiah Chapter 40 verses 28 - 31
When something hits us bad
And we don't know where to turn
Our heart cries out in fear
While raging fire burns
We cry out to The Father
But, nothing seems to change
The problem's like a mountain
And as it was, remains
Tomorrow is an unknown terror
That will not go away
Our footsteps drag like lead
Whatever others say
We know of all the answers
Like; trust and there's a plan
It's just a bend, a trial
With more to understand
But these become mere phrases
And words that don't appease
For pain's still searing pain
That drives us to our knees
And there's the secret wonder
That's surely to be found
Though heartache is still borne
There comes a joy deep down
We know we have no power
No peace of mind, nor strength
But, there is our Lord Jesus
On Him, we then depend
He died to bear the suffering
The pain, the guilt, the sin
The hurt that we endure
The fear we feel within
And when He rose again
He rose to give us, Him
Yes, His life will be within us
If we just let Him in
Thus if we give ourselves to Jesus
If we let Him have our all
Then we'll discover what
Will somehow make us whole
We'll find the pain becomes a gift
To make us seek The Lord
To make us need His life-blood
And cling unto His Word
He wants us in His Heaven so
That this He'll do again
He'll bring what we will need
To find Him as our friend.

Poetry from the Heart
God often comforts us, not by changing
the circumstances of our lives
but by changing our attitude towards them.
