I hear an echo calling me,
Coming from the mountains and the trees.
A voice so tender, kind,
It sounds like my sister
Who I will always love, now
and for all time
I hear an echo
So sweet and very blessed
It is getting closer
I must rise, see who it is
Before this day, I rest
Oh, her voice is carried on the wind
All the way from far away,
Such love, the kind I always knew,
Now, in my heart I see my sister
She is with me in our Father's love,
A miracle come true.
May I hear this echo always
So deep within my heart,
Then my sister will forever stay
Thank You for this comfort Jesus,
As I pray, Your love we always keep.
I can see her pretty hair and eyes
The gift from Heaven that I seek,
The ray of hope to see her close,
From God I did beseech.
I hear an echo and I echo back
To where she is so near, yet far,
So beautiful, on angel's wings
My love will fly to her
And I will smile at last.
