Day Is Over
Now the day is over
Night is drawing nigh
Shadows of the evening
Move across the sky.
As the darkness gathers
Stars begin to peep
Birds, beast and flowers
Will soon be asleep.
Through the long night
May Thy angel spread
White wings over us
And watch beside our bed.
When we arise to start our day
Let us not forget to pray
Take our hand lest we stray
Along life's pathway.
