Hope In His Loving Care

In His Loving Care

Lord, we come to You
The only source of all
Hearts aflame for who You are
Crying in our need, the more
For when we cannot understand
With no-where else to go
You are the only One who holds us
The only One who knows

When in life we're all a-ponder
What You would want to say
Today we come to humbly ask,
Please show us Your way
For we have sight to only see
The things upon this earth
Give us a glimpse to know
Of life's eternal worth

In You, is all that truly keeps
Where we can find, to look beyond
To seek to understand the hope
Where life for us goes on and on
Your loving hand controls the world
You plant Your feet upon the storm
The seasons flow at Your command
And all creation by Your word

When fury blew upon the mountain
No voice could e're be heard
In mighty earthquake, what was stirred
Or in the fire that burned
Oh, where is found the voice to heed,
Whispers soft...oh still our souls to hear
To rest within Your tender heart of love,
Where there is no more fear.

In the secret of God's tabernacle no enemy can
find us, and no troubles can reach us.
The secret of his presence is a more secure
refuge than a thousand Gibraltar's.
I do not mean that no trials come.
They may come in abundance, but they cannot
penetrate into the sanctuary of the soul,
and we may dwell in perfect peace even
in the midst of life's fiercest storms.
Hannah Whitall Smith

In trusting Him, we not only enter into
his rest and peace, but remain there.
We can't carry the load of the world on
our shoulders, and we don't have to.
God is more than capable of handling our
affairs and the affairs of this world.
When we trust and let God carry the load,
we experience the tranquillity,
the peace and the joy.
