I'm so sorry for your awful loss
Of the gift of love you had
Now gone forevermore
Leaving you so sad



Sad that such a little one
Could fill you with such grief
Sad, because the tears
Are just beyond belief



Sad in the memory you keep
That tears your heart to shreds
Of that tender little one,
Not snuggled in their bed



May comfort come to you somehow
In all the love they gave
May God's love warm your heart
As you leave that little grave
