God created a lovely winter night
A beautiful moon shines so bright
The snow beckons us to have some fun
And we take the sleigh for a moonlight run.
In a one-horse sleigh with my love at my side
Nothing more beautiful than a moonlight ride
Snuggled together in our buffalo robes
Covered in fur from head to toes.
The music of sleigh bells rings in the air
There is no other sound that can compare
Gloved hands hold lightly the reins
As our sleigh glides slowly down the lane.
Soon our moonlight sleigh ride will end
Oh, what a beautiful night it has been
Thank you, God, for our peaceful ride
And for being our loving guide.
