Dear Father,
Today, I lift up this person, my friend,
up to You,
and I ask, Father, that You lead them safely
into Your mighty plans today,
into Your purpose and Your blessings.
Father, cover them in the warmth of Your love,
in the shelter of Your wings.
Guard and guide their footsteps,
and may Your mercy, Your goodness,
follow them,
as they go out,
and as they come in.
If they are in lack, Father,
show them how to give,
in order that they might receive.
If they lack wisdom,
may they ask You for it,
and if they are hurting,
may they reach out to others,
who are also hurting,
and in need.
Guard their lips today, Father,
and may Your name be glorified,
in all that they say,
all that they do.
Send forth guardian angels to encamp around them,
and draw them closer to You.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
