Dark may be the skies,
Heavy the rainfall,
Yet You bring joy
In the midst of it all,

You are My shelter,
My place to retreat,
My haven of happiness,
Of love deep and sweet,



My home everlasting,
My eternal sunshine,
My every treasure,
My pathway divine...

So what have I, Lord,
To worry or fear
When always to me
You are so near?



Although the rain
May pour all around,
Your comforting voice
Is the only sound,

The storm may rage,
The thunder may roar,
Yet I feel Your love
Indeed all the more,



The challenges may heighten,
The obstacles grow,
Yet more and more
Your grace I know.

Yes, sweet Jesus,
Beloved of mine,
You are my happiness,
My treasure divine,



Every storm, every trial,
Every challenge I meet
Melts in Your love
Eternal and sweet..

Yes, dark may be the skies,

Are my bright light in it all!
