~ My King ~

One day my problems were pressing me down
I felt so desperate and alone.
I heard a voice deep in my heart
saying, "your King is still on His throne."

Why was I doubting His promise so true
so many times He has proven to me.
When shadows would fall upon my path
His light would allow me to see.



This earth is doomed to soon pass away
but the redeemed will still have a home.
He is preparing His kingdom
with His children to reign
My King is still on His throne.

When I think of my sin troubled soul
until Jesus my Savior, I found.
He ever loved me when He carried the cross
I was one of the thorns in His crown.



Then I found peace, so sweet,
my problems became a stepping stone.
"Never despair" He gently called out,
"your King is still on His throne."
