God Gave My Son

God gave me a special son
Who could become a friend,
From His all knowing heart
His very best He sends.



He knew that son to me
Would a caring hand extend,
From a strong yet tender heart
And a love that never ends.



I thank God for all you are, my son
I'm glad for all you tend,
Every day I see His love in you
True as the purest gem.



God bless you my dear son
as you ever walk in Him
