Dear God, as we enter a brand new year
Allow us to have more faith than fear
Grant us your blessings from up above
Help us to live with peace and love.
Give us the words that could mean so much
To those who feel empty and out of touch
Let the hearts of those badly shattered
Know somehow they have always mattered.
Please restore faith to the ones in need
Let them be joyful for one small deed
Offered in kindness, given with cheer
Restoring their faith in a brand new year.
