Soon we will usher in a new year
Another chance to start freshly anew
Dear Lord, this is my prayer
That my heart be renewed too.



I ask forgiveness for mistakes I made
Through all my yesterdays
Dear Lord, help me to start again
That I may walk closer to you always.



Lord, take my hand and walk with me
Without you, I cannot make it on my own
A new year and a new beginning with Thee
Oh Lord, I know that I will never be alone.
