The Sea of Galilee is a sparkling jewel Jesus walked the shores in the soft breeze Where the river Jordan flows clear and free Giving life and beauty to the sea of Galilee. The Dead Sea, where the Jordan also flows Is a sea where nothing ever grows And heavy air hangs all around Nature has forgotten this barren ground. The Dead Sea holds Jordan's waves Like captured shackled slaves And the clear fresh water turns to salt Within the dark Dead Sea's vault. Jesus walked the shores of Galilee As He talked to His Father above Alone with His Father, He was free It was here Jesus felt peace and love. © Glenna M.
