Lord, when I am weary,
When sleep escapes me,
When it seems it is impossible
To be all I must be,

When the tasks are many,
When the demands are high,
When my heart is heavy,
When inspiration runs dry,

When these things happen,
I look all the more to You,
For it is by Your strength alone
I do all that I do.

When things move smoothly
How easy to think I am strong,
Yet it is Your strength alone
That moves me all along.

So I rejoice all the more
In the challenges I know,
For it is in my weakness
That Your strength does show.

Yes, in weaknesses, in insults,
In hardships and difficulties too,
I rejoice in these things
For they draw me to You.

So when tasks are many,
When the demands are high,
When my heart is heavy,
When inspiration runs dry,

I rejoice in challenges,
In weakness and infirmity,
For it is then that Your power
Is made perfect in me.

2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, ‘My grace
is sufficient for you,
