Resting in Your Arms, Jesus

Resting in Your arms,
Lord Jesus, let me be,
For there I see love
As You look down on me.

There in Your eyes
Is the brightest of light,
Shining deep into my heart
Even through dark of night.

There in Your smile
I see joy without end,
As You whisper I am Yours,
I am forever Your friend.

There in Your voice
I hear the loveliest song,
Lyrics to remind me
That with You I belong.

There in Your arms
I know comfort and rest,
You give only what is good,
Indeed what is best.

So resting in Your arms,
Lord Jesus, let me be,
I wish to be in Your arms
For all eternity.

No storm can separate us,
No trial will come between,
No power in heaven or earth,
Whether seen or unseen.

In Your arms I will rest,
My Home there I find,
You are the Treasure of my heart,
All else I leave behind.

You are my Life, my Love,
My Lord and my Light,
You are my Sun by day
My shining Star at night.

So resting in Your arms,
Lord Jesus, You will find me:
Close to Your heart, Beloved,
I will always be.

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden,
and I will give you rest.
"Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart;
and you shall find rest for your souls.
"For My yoke is easy, and My load is light."
