Sparrows singing,
Perched upon the trees,
Sweet music of nature
Dancing in the breeze,

Reaching my ears,
Touching my heart deep,
Whispering of promises
My Jesus does keep.

For in the sparrow’s song
I hear words of consolation,
My Jesus provides
For all of His creation.

The birds of the air
Neither reap nor sow,
Yet the provision of God
Each one does know.

Neither toil nor spin
Do the lilies of white,
Yet arrayed in splendor
They bloom with delight.

So in the sparrow’s song,
I hear my Jesus say,
Never need you worry
When you follow My way.

You are my Joy,
Your love is wide and deep,
I embrace the rich promises
You faithfully keep.

Yes, rejoicing with sparrows,
I join them in song,
My Jesus provides for us all,
For to Him we belong.
