My Special Niece

You are my special niece
Though I see you much or less
Our hearts are overlapping
In such togetherness



As kindred we're united
In a bond that is unique
At all the family times
With you we are complete



I am part of all your history
Your heritage, your past
I hold within my memory
Much I naturally impart



I knew your parent long ago
And am part of who they are
I am glad to share that love with you
And give into your heart
