My heart is perching
on the brink...
The very edge of wonder
for spring's about to burst.
I just can't imagine what
Is rising up to greet...
My heart on this tomorrow
When joy will come to earth.
Oh spring, the glorious day
My heart's about to burst...
I just can't contain the pleasure
The joy, of this new birth.
Oh, let me go and see
Has the sun arisen now...
Can I search among the melting
The cold and barren ground.
Will I then discover
God's shoots of life to see...
Oh, open wide the gate of spring
For it's quivering in the heart of me.
