The anticipation of Spring is rising
My feathered friends have been arriving
Gathering twigs for their home to nest in
Soon their babies I'll be welcoming.
As my eyes wander.... around to see
In my pond swimming is my fishies
My plants and flowers are popping out
This is what Spring is all about.
Each day I anxiously wait for more
God's beauty to surround me galore
A canvas unfolds that He has painted
Blessings of nature I long have awaited.
Every flower and tree and creature I see
Envelopes my soul with deep joy inside me
I love them all so passionately
Even down to naming all of my trees.
Spring and Summer are my favorite seasons
T'is when all of my babies return to my pleasing
Oh how I have missed them and long to see
Once again their beauty surrounding me.
