The pages of the book flip softly
Upon the gentle wind,
Revealing a life story
Unfolding from within.



The ship of days has sailed there-on
To spin a pretty tale,
Up and down the ocean waves
No matter stormy gale.



The froth of sea and bubble
So soon is blown away,
Leaving what remains
That will forever stay.



The pages that are anchored down
Are firm and strong and true,
Held there by eternity,
As only God within, will do.



The clock of time's still winding
And never will it cease,
Not until our book's completed
And days are all at peace.



A tale is one of love and joy, when
Buoyed by hope and faith,
Our sails, God sets as homeward bound
When on His way we wait.
