As Jesus carried his cross to die at Calvary
Tears fell from the Heavens
for those who loved Him cried.
The Apostles hid in fear, while people called out "crucify"
My Lord was rejected by those He knew,
Even those who loved Him too
Tears on Calvary, as His mother Mary grieved
With The youngest Apostle John, who stayed
Jesus asked Him to care for His mother
the rest of Her days
Nails were driven in Jesus' hands and feet
The blood of My Lord, makes me also weep
Three more hours they watched in fright
As the earth became as dark as night
Violent storms and an eclipse was seen
As Our Lord Jesus died on Calvary
Jesus asked The Father to take this cup away
But He understood, He alone
Must bear our sin that day
So our spirits find eternity again
Tears on Calvary, as angels cried the saddest song
To let all know, The King of Kings had died for wrong
For the love of all, no matter who we be
Our Lord Jesus died, for you and me.

Do you remember me The people's poet
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them;
for they know not what they do.
And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Luke 23:34
