~ The Longing ~

Today, you weep, it is too much,
The pain, the grief, too great to bear,
Today, you cry, the tears release,
Like skies of falling rain...

Today, you search for comfort's rest,
Search far beyond the depth of sky,
Please lift this dark confusing wrench,
Oh God, please answer, why,

Today, you can not see for sorrow
But keep on asking in the pain,
There may not be an answer
But, there will be peace again.

You will find promises from God,
Your heart He will renew
The problem may not go away
But, the agony will move.

Keep holding to the hope of love
And give your spirit time,
Time to discover shifting light-
For the light of God will come....

To bless your darkest night.
